At Kirana, we offer a CHC40608 Certificate IV in Leisure and Health that can be completed in 12 – 18 months and is delivered by Kirana’s Registered Training Organisation Kirana Training Pty Ltd RTO ID 52247. The course is undertaken via different learning methods, including classroom, online, distance/correspondence and work-based. There is also a work experience aspect of this course, where you must undertake a minimum of 120 hours of work experience if you are not currently employed within the industry. Our Kirana Trainers/Assessors will visit you in the workplace to assess the skills required in this qualification.

Once you complete the course, you will be able to pursue a career as a diversional therapy assistant, activities officer, community leisure officer, disability officer (day support), leisure officer or recreation activities officer. On completing this course, you will also be able to undertake a CHC52212 Diploma of Community Services Coordination.

This course will give you the skills and knowledge to help people grow and live a healthy lifestyle. You’ll learn how to support health and leisure pursuits for people from a range of backgrounds. This course takes you through a number of electives and core units that will teach you how to; work within a relevant legal and ethical framework,work effectively in the leisure and health industry,plan, implement and monitor leisure and health programs,apply sociological concepts to leisure and health,work effectively with culturally diverse clients and co-workers and more.
